Zephyr and Iris

He roused

Her retreat doused.

He flew

She grew, fresh and new.

He rained

Their tango ingrained.

He passed (with a rumble)

A virgin petal took the tumble.

Oh sweet nectar –

It saw no love thereafter.

    1. Thank you Cory and I framed the write-up while panning the dew upon a shrinking flower. We were out for a trekking venture that time. The dew drops were not helping out the flower with its movements because from the way I witnessed it, it seemed frustrated due to the untimely rain in the region.
